Why Camera Phones Are Better Than Ever

Digital cameras in mobile phones used to be little more than a novelty. The picture quality was minimal. You were lucky if the camera function had 2 megapixels-worth of clarity, and there was usually no flash. Now many mobiles have cameras with premium lenses, flash, and an impressive 8 megapixels, plus special capabilities you would normally expect only from stand-alone digital cameras such as face detection and auto-focus. Camera phones are better than ever, enough so that the camera function is now more than adequate for everyday use either for work or pleasure. No more is the camera in your phone only good for the once-in-a-blue-moon funny moment or harrowing fender-bender.
