Fencing equipment and competition
Fencers are penalized for crossing the lateral boundaries of the strip, while retreating off the rear limit of their side results in a touch awarded to their opponent. Fencers are selected for each weapon in which there is a team competition at the 2007 Pan American Games on the basis of USFA senior team point standings. Fencing equipment is not as easy to find as equipment for other sports, so you want to make sure you get the right gear the first time you end up making a purchase. Be sure not to buy from cheap import distributors since their fencing blades are of extremely low quality.
