Long Casts with the Slammer 460 Penn Fishing Reel
I just bought this new Penn Fishing Reel – the Penn Slammer 460 Spinning Reel. I’d have to say it’s excellent for long casts. With practically very little effort, the line sails through the air. The line clearly encounters very little friction. Granted, it is fairly heavy even for a Penn Fishing Reel. That is probably due to its full metal casing. I have difficulty weighing the costs and benefits of that one, actually. The metal casing would probably be enough for this Penn Fishing Reel to last a lifetime but the weight does introduce a certain level of difficulty for less bulky anglers like me. In time, though, I expect I’ll get used to the weight. In the meantime, I guess I’ll just enjoy the long casts.
