Your First Yoga Class

Most people who start doing yoga are just regular people who are looking to improve their health. Rather than being a mystical quest, it’s a conscious lifestyle choice to bring more balance and health into their lives. So, yoga classes shouldn’t feel intimidating - they’re regular people just like you and me.

People decide to do yoga to reduce stress, back pain, and headaches, and improve their strength and flexibility. Yoga is great for all these things. So, what should you wear to your first class?

Loose and comfortable3 clothing is best. Shorts, cotton/lycra tights, and a t-shirt are what most people wear. The clothes should allow you to move easily, without causing you to get either hot or cold. And because yoga is done barefoot, you won’t have to worry about getting a special type of shoe.
