What Are the Common Symptoms of a Panic Attack

I am a psychotherapist practicing in the Washington area and many people ask me every week what are the common symptoms of a panic attack? This is impossible to answer. Panic attacks affect different people in so many different ways. OK so some of the tell tale signs of a panic attack victim are hot and cold sweats, shaking features, smothered or short breath, loss of control, numbness in body and blotchy skin, however don’t take this as a definitive list. Thousands of people suffer in different ways, frequently and infrequently. What is important is that you accept that you have a problem. From there try to relax more, breath evenly and take each situation you fear as it comes.
