Mobility scooters-are they safe on the road?
While I was doing some research on scooters I started reading about mobility scooters. I was very surprised to learn that in many places people ride them on the road. Not only that but it is perfectly legal to do so. They only seem to go about 5 miles per hour so I would think that a road would need to have a really big shoulder for a scooter to ride on. honestly, I do not think I would have the guts to get on a real road. I am a sidewalk kind of girl. However, I suppose sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.
