L. A. Law

Although I should remember more about the show L.A. Law, I seem to have forgotten what most of the shows were about.  I think I remember that the writers had the Los Angeles Federal Criminal Defense Attorneys  and a private law firm handling cases that were very controversial, especially when the show ran from the late 80s to the early 90s.  Topics such as homosexuality, abortion, domestic violence, and racism were a few of the hot topics of the time.  Many viewers watched the show religiously, but some were turned off as the series seemed to get more racy as the series progressed.
