I didn’t need the credit cards in order to live or make ends meet. I just wanted them to be able to buy things that I couldn’t afford to pay cash for. I bought clothes and shoes mostly. After I graduated from college, I got a good job, but I was already saddled with a lot of bills. I got an unsecured loan for debt consolidation. The low-interest loan paid off all of my high-interest credit cards. I now make one payment instead of several.
