Credit Card Slip-Ups
Let’s say you’re pretty good about paying your bills on time every month, but occasionally you miss a due date on a credit card and you incur a late fee. You make your payment and you call the credit card company’s customer service center about the late fee. The very understanding representative on the other end agrees to credit the late fee to your account because you’re such a good customer. Everything is OK, right? No, you may still need the assistance of a credit repair company. Just because you paid the bill and had the late fee removed doesn’t mean that the incident won’t still count against you on your credit report, and you can’t fix that by yourself.
